The resort has
three buildings. One for the guest accommodations, the main building where
meals and entertainment are provided and a building for conferences, dances, and
other large gatherings. The rooms are well appointed and provide the eco theme complemented with
furnishings and fittings that have been constructed from local
woods and materials. Each apartment also contains a private

How does it help?
Adel’s Rainforest Resort is an environmentally friendly
experience. The current capacity of the lodge is twenty, thereby
minimizing impact on the environment. The cottages are built with
materials from the surrounding forest. The flush toilets and
showers discharge into septic tanks.
We offer a variety of employment opportunities
for the local communities. Local people manage the resort and
provide most of the services, including cooking and guided tours.
We are actively reviving the local basket weaving tradition by
sponsoring local artisans and selling the baskets at the resort.
There are several demonstrations available of local traditions
and there are opportunities to learn about the indigenous way of
life. For example, community members demonstrate making cassava
bread. The local community contributes their knowledge of the
forest and environment.
